We sign a standard contract and then you make an initial payment. After that, we wait for you to provide us with the text and photos that go with each page . Once we have everything in hand, we work very quickly. Some websites can be completed in as little as one or two weeks.

We divide the contract price into three payments which are approximately equal. The first payment is made after the contract is signed. The second is made after we show you a mockup of the home page and you approve it. The third is made after you see the completed site and want it to go live.

Every website needs certain third party services. If you already have a website, we may or may not be able to use its services. They are:

  • Domain Name
  • Hosting
  • SSL Certificate

See below for individual questions on these topics. If your site needs a custom logo design, stock photography, and other custom work, we can handle these at an additional charge.

If you have an existing website, we will reuse your existing domain name. This assumes you have direct ownership. If you do not own a domain name, we will help you register one. The cost is about $8.88/year. This is payable directly by you to an Internet Registrar.

If you already have suitable hosting, then we may be able to use it. If not, we will help you obtain it. Economy hosting costs about $8.99/month and is more than sufficient for most sites. This is payable directly by you to a hosting provider.

An SSL certificate is not required for most sites, but it is strongly recommended. If you don't have one, browsers may label your site "Not Secure." This makes a bad impression on visitors. We will help you get one if you decide you want it. The cost is about $6/year, payable directly by you to a certificate authority.

Absolutely, and it will be done the correct way. Your site will use a "responsive" design. This means it will respond to the type of device it is being viewed on. Your site will look perfect on small mobile phones, tablets, laptops and desktop PCs.

Beware of low quality web designs that only zoom to fit the available screen area. They look horrible on desktop screens, sometimes displaying gaudy 1 inch high letters. Then, on tiny mobile screens, they have undersized text. We do it the right way.

Because you know your business best, we ask you to provide the text and any photos you want on your new website. If photos are not available, we can provide stock photography where needed at a modest cost.

Yes, but you will need to learn how to use WordPress, and some technologies it uses such as Gutenberg blocks and the page builder used by your theme. It will take a considerable amount of time to learn. You will have all of the logons necessary if you want to do this.

WordPress is a Content Management System (CMS).  Among websites that use a CMS, WordPress holds a full 64% of market share. This makes it the most popular Content Management System (CMS) in the world.

We used to, but not any longer. They are more complex, time consuming and tend to require constant changes. We try to work at a price point that gives our clients the best possible value, and we would have to essentially double our rates to build a typical eCommerce site. Nonetheless, eCommerce can usually be added later.

Okay, so you've decided that you need a website. Congratulations! Having a website is a great way to promote your business, share your passion, or just document your life. But where do you start? How do you choose a web designer?

There are a few things you should consider when choosing a web designer. The first is cost. How much are you willing to spend on a website? Websites can range from a few hundred dollars to tens of thousands of dollars. It all depends on the features you want and the level of customization you need.

The second thing you should consider is the designer's experience. How long have they been designing websites? Do they have a portfolio of work that you can look at? The more experience a designer has, the better able they'll be to create the website you want. (We are proud to say that we've been designing websites from the first days of the Internet.)

The third thing to consider is the designer's communication style. Do they seem like they'll be easy to work with? Do they respond to your emails quickly? Do they seem like they understand your vision for the website? Good communication is essential for any project, but it's especially important for something as important as your website.

Finally, you should make sure that the designer uses the platform you want your website to be built on. If you want a WordPress website, make sure the designer is familiar with WordPress. Choosing the right platform is essential for a successful website.

Take your time when choosing a web designer. Ask lots of questions and look at their previous work. The more you know about them, the better able you'll be to make a decision.

A good website design will make use of white space, typography, and imagery to create a visually appealing design. The website should also be easy to navigate, with clear and concise menus and buttons. The overall goal of your website design is to create an enjoyable experience for the user.

A good website design is also one that is both aesthetically pleasing and easy to use. It will have a consistent look and feel throughout, with a focus on user experience. A good website design is essential for any business that wants to stand out from the competition and attract new customers.
